PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
My Background and ApproachThroughout my working life, I have developed expertise with a wide variety of problems which people bring to counselling and psychotherapy, such as anxiety, bereavement, depression, life crisis, sexual and relationship difficulties and many others.
I have made a special point over the years of enhancing my ability to work across the board, short-term as well as long-term, counselling as well as psychotherapy, therapy for self-development as well as therapy with extreme states and mental-emotional pain (including psychotic fragmentation and breakdowns).
I therefore am able and willing to work across a wide spectrum of therapeutic needs, adapting my approach from client to client, as well as from session to session with the same client.
I have worked with many different people from all walks of life - different backgrounds as well as different cultural and sexual orientation.
I have a deep respect and compassion for people's suffering and their pain as well as their strength, resilience and creativity. In my approach, I generally emphasise the human rather than the treatment aspects. I aim to provide a therapeutic service which is sophisticated yet straightforward and accessible.
